Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A Forum! I know how frustrating it can be when everything works perfectly until your PC goes to sleep, and then suddenly Phone Link refuses to reconnect.
Here are a few steps that you can try to restore a stable connection:
1 - Reset the Phone Link and Link to Windows apps
- On your PC: Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Phone Link > Advanced options > Reset
- On your phone: Open Link to Windows > clear cache > clear app data > sign in again.
2 - Fully unpair and re‑pair your devices
- Sometimes the original pairing handshake becomes invalid after repeated sleep/hibernation cycles.
- Remove the PC from “Linked devices” on your phone.
- On the PC, remove the phone under Bluetooth & Devices > Mobile devices.
- Pair again using the QR code setup.
3 - Check power & network sleep settings
- Disable USB selective suspend
- Allow Bluetooth devices to wake the PC
- Turn off Fast Startup
You can temporarily prevent the PC from sleeping while plugged in to confirm whether sleep is the cause.
