Hello,
I'm trying to connect SharePoint Online sites with PnP Management shell registered as an enterprise app in Azure and it is giving me the below error.

Sorry, but we're having trouble signing you in
AADSTS700016: Application with identifier ' ' was not found in the directory ' '. This can happen if the application has not been installed by the administrator of the tenant or consented to by user in the tenant. You may have sent you authorization request to the wrong tenant.
The permissions provided only for the Microsoft Graph scopes. Please let me know whether any SharePoint scope permissions needs to be added. If yes, please provide me the SharePoint scope to add it in the App ID.

Could you provide more details like what commands/script you are currently using and please confirm whether the signed-in user has valid license assigned or not?

Thanks for your reply. I'm trying to connect the SharePoint Online admin center URL and site URL's to connect via PnP Powershell.
Connect-PnPOnline -Url https://xxxxx-admin.sharepoint.com -Interactive
I have the SharePoint Online admin role assigned. However this role is not added in the roles and administrators group of the App ID registered for the PnP Management shell. Its not working for Global admin to any roles, the option is greyed out.
Unable to provide admin consent for the SharePoint scopes. Created a Microsoft Case but they are telling that PnP is out of scope support for Microsoft.

Sorry for the delay. We haven't registered this app in the Microsoft Entra Enterprise applications. The Roles and Administrator only shows three roles as per the attached screenshot. This app is not editable to Global Admin also its not working them to connect PnP management shell. No one has access to add the Roles and administrators, Owners, Users and groups.
Please check and share your inputs on this.

However, this method connects the PnP Management Shell using the App ID and Secret. We need to authenticate with the SharePoint Online admin account to connect to the PnP Management Shell

2026-01-01T09:18:34.7233333+00:00 Hi @Sridevi Machavarapu , The issue is not resolved, I see this PnP Management shell is registered as an Enterprise app in my tenant and it's similar to other enterprises apps registered like OneDrive, OneNote, etc. Submitted a case with Microsoft but they mentioned that PnP Management shell is out of scope for their support.
