I have the same issue and none of the suggested Windows solutions works. I'm on the current version of Windows 11 and all drivers are current. I restarted various devices as suggested but nothing enables or removes the x over the speaker icon. It also won't recognise my Apple headphones when plugged into the audio jack, Does anyone have a solution that works?
