I am unable to run my host pool and no one is able to log into the remote desktop session

Our host pool is unable to start, connect or allow connections. I keep getting an error that the health state is unavailable and the domain trust check fails each time the vm is restarted. This has been going on for about 2 months even though they are not any outstanding invoices.

Hello ChiomaO Admin,

If the session host is off, turn it back on. If the session host didn't pass the domain join check or side-by-side stack listener health checks, refer to the table in Health check for ways to resolve the issue.

If the status is still "Unavailable" after following those directions reinstall the agent-

Please follow the below given steps-

Navigate to the VM\Extensions + applications

Note the Version, for Win11ms, I would expect 2.2.0.0.

Click the Uninstall button.

Reboot the VM

Once the VM is back online after reboot, open Cloud Shell

Run the following in Cloud Shell substituting in your Resource Group name, VM name, and Location.

Set-AzVMExtension -ResourceGroupName "<RESOURCE GROUP NAME>" -VMName "<VM NAME>" -Name "AADLoginForWindows" -Location "<LOCATION>" -Publisher "Microsoft.Azure.ActiveDirectory" -Type "AADLoginForWindows" -TypeHandlerVersion "2.2"

If you are still experiencing the same issue, please create a new host pool and add the virtual machine to the newly created host pool.
