Hello Gary,

Thank you for reaching out about the issue with your Outlook account not receiving emails. I understand how frustrating it can be when you can send messages but not receive them.

This usually happens due to account configuration issues, outdated software or connectivity problems.

To resolve this start by signing in to Outlook on the web to confirm if emails are arriving there. If they do the problem may be with the Outlook app on your device. Next download and run the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant which can automatically detect and fix most Outlook related issues. Also ensure your Outlook and Windows are fully updated as outdated versions can cause syncing problems.

If the issue persists check your account settings in Outlook and verify that no rules or filters are redirecting or deleting incoming emails.

Finally review your Junk Email folder and mailbox storage to make sure nothing is blocking delivery. Would you mind confirming if you’ve tried accessing your account through Outlook on the web or running the Support and Recovery Assistant?

I hope this answer is helpful if you have further questions feel free to reply back

Regards,

Marcelo

To troubleshoot the issue of not receiving emails in your Outlook account while being able to send them, you can try the following steps:

    1. Check Your Internet Connection: Ensure that you have a stable internet connection, as this can affect your ability to receive emails.
    2. Update Outlook: Make sure your Outlook is updated to the latest version. You can do this by opening any Office application, selecting File, then Office Account, and checking for updates under Office Updates. If your version is earlier than 2008, select Update Options and then Update Now.
    3. Check Account Settings: Verify that your email account settings are correct. Go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings and ensure that your incoming mail server settings are properly configured.
    4. Repair Office Installation: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, you may want to repair your Office installation. You can follow the steps outlined in the article on how to repair an Office application.
    5. Registry Fix: If you are using Outlook for Microsoft 365 or Outlook 2016, you can try deleting the SecurityManager key in the registry. This involves using the Registry Editor to navigate to HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\ClickToRun\REGISTRY\MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\SecurityManager\CapAuthz\ApplicationsEx and deleting the SecurityManager key. Make sure to back up the registry before making changes.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, consider reaching out to Microsoft support for further assistance.
