Portal Azure Login Issues

Hello,

I have been experiencing login issues to portal.azure site since last week.

Whenever I try to login my azure account in the following screen:

In the next screen, the account (my personal gmail) that is being displayed is different:

And I cannot switch the account when im in this phase of the login.

I already tried different web browsers, clearing browser histories (All time) including its cache, saved accounts, deleting all accounts I have logged in this my pc, everything but still, it behaves like this.

Why is the account I logged in changes on the next phase?

Thanks for the screenshots. I can see the sign‑in is starting on the work/school (Microsoft Entra ID) page and then switching to the Microsoft personal account (MSA) page, which is why a different email appears and you can’t change it mid‑flow. This happens when cached sessions on the PC route the login to the wrong identity provider.

Please follow these steps in order (they’re quick and safe):

1) Sign out everywhere (clears active sessions)

Open each link and sign out if prompted:

https://portal.azure.com/signout https://login.microsoftonline.com/common/oauth2/logout

https://account.microsoft.com/?ref=settings]

https://login.live.com/logout.srf

2) Clear site‑specific cookies & storage (removes sticky identity)

Remove cookies/storage only for these sites:

https://portal.azure.com/signout https://login.microsoftonline.com/common/oauth2/logout

https://account.microsoft.com/?ref=settings]

https://login.live.com/logout.srf

Edge/Chrome: Settings → Privacy → Site settings → “View data stored across sites” → search each domain → Clear data.

3) Use a clean browser context

Open a new InPrivate/Incognito window or create a new browser profile (Edge → Settings → Profiles → Add profile).

Temporarily disable extensions (password managers/SSO helpers).

5) Reset Windows Account Manager (WAM) cache (device‑level tokens)

On Windows 10/11:

Settings → Accounts → Email & accounts → under “Accounts used by other apps” → Remove accounts you don’t want to use.

Settings → Accounts → Access work or school → Disconnect stale entries.

Restart the PC, then retry Step 4.

I tried everything you told me but its till the same. I also get similar issue even when I use other PC.

I have found a solution but its not very convenient. What I do is:

I logged in on our DevOps account (same account with my azure)

On the profile (top right) I click View Account

It takes me to mysignins link then MFA triggers via Authenticator App (which I normally do before) once approved, I can now view account.

After that I open a tab and access Azure portal and it worked.

So whats going on? I did not change anything with my account but somehow Im getting this weird issue with login.
