If you encounter issues with uninstalling or if remnants of the 32-bit version are preventing you from installing the 64-bit version, you may need to ensure that all previous versions of Office are completely uninstalled. Here’s how:
- Use the Office Uninstall Tool: Microsoft provides a tool to help remove Office installations completely. You can download it from the official Microsoft support site and follow the instructions to remove all Office components.
- Check for Remaining Components: After using the uninstall tool, check the Control Panel again to ensure no Office components remain. If any do, uninstall them manually.
- Restart Your Computer: After uninstalling, restart your computer to ensure all changes take effect.
Once all 32-bit components are removed, you should be able to install the 64-bit version of Office without issues.
