am trying to uninstall office16 click to run extensibility component but i have failed so i was asking if you can help me on how i can uninstall it

Why did Microsoft make this so hard? New computers come PRE-INSTALLED with this click-to-run installer that can be SO HARD to get rid of! Instead of helping users get their computer set up the way THEY WANT TO, they sometimes have to first figure out how to get rid of the Microsoft bloatware.

It should be a very simple uninstall, not all this "oh try this, if that doesn't work do this, and you might need to go in and manually clean up the registry". That is BUGS -- more of the junk Microsoft keeps shoveling onto us these days.

To better assistance, could you please confirm following information:

1. Is this a school/work computer or your personal PC?
2. Which Windows version do you have (Windows 10 or 11)?
3. How did you uninstall Office before (Control Panel, Settings, or a tool)?
4. Do you still see Microsoft Office Click‑to‑Run in Services or Task Manager?
5. Do you have admin rights on this PC?

In the meantime, I recommend some step below:

Option 1: Use Microsoft’s uninstall tool

1. Go to: Uninstall Microsoft 365 or Office from a PC > Click Uninstall
2. Click Open if you get a pop-up window indicating This site is trying to open Get Help.
3. Follow the prompts on the remaining screens and when prompted, restart your computer.
4. Select the steps for the version of Office you want to install or reinstall.

Option 2: If the error still shows after using the tool

Note: Please back up your registry first. Only do this if the uninstall tool fails.

1. Remove leftover registry keys: Press Windows + R, type regedit, and press Enter. Navigate to: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\ Look for keys mentioning Office16 Click-to-Run Extensibility Component and delete them.
   
2. Clear identity cache: Go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\Identity\Identities Delete all entries under Identities.
3. Check for old Office folders: Delete any remaining folders: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office Also check %ProgramData%\Microsoft\Office and %AppData%\Microsoft\Office.
4. Restart your PC.
