Because the invites are missing the RSVP, they cannot be added to my calendar. How can I fix this?

Hi @Alice-N , I have the same problem which was solved going back to Outlook Classic. Many thanks. However, this was not happening 10 days ago, when we could see the options in outlook new. Is it planned to give back support to this buttons in Outlook New for IMAP accounts?

Best regards,

Francisco

Dear Steve ODell ,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A Community. I understand that your meeting invites in New Outlook for Windows are missing the Accept, Decline, or Tentative buttons, and you cannot add them to your calendar. I’m happy to assist you.

First Please Kindly Switch Back to Classic Outlook

If your account is Gmail, Yahoo, or IMAP, RSVP buttons are currently not supported in New Outlook.

  • Click the New Outlook toggle in the top-right corner to return to Classic Outlook.

Then please follow the next steps :

1. Enable Response Buttons from the Registry Editor

When the Outlook Calendar response option is disabled in the Registry Editor, you won’t be able to respond to your meetings. You have to set DisableResponseButtons to 0; you’ll see all the response options in Outlook.

Right-click on the Start icon and choose Run. Or press the Window + R keys.

  • Type regedit in the text box and press Enter.
  • User's image

Go to the following location:   Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE[ Microsoft\Office]\16.0\Outlook\Options\Calendar.

Double-click on DisableResponseButtons.

  • Set the Value data from 1 to 0 and click OK.
  • User's image
  • Now, close the Registry Editor and open a meeting invite in Outlook. You should see the response buttons are back where they belong.

2. Disable Outlook Add-ins

Sometimes, Outlook add-ins can get corrupted and cause issues such as meeting responses not showing up. So, turn off the add-ins and see if it solves the problem.

Launch the Outlook application.

  • Go to File > Options
  • User's image
  • Proceed to the Add-ins tab from the left menu, select COM Add-ins, and click the Go button.
  • User's image
  • Uncheck the add-ins and click OK.
  • User's image

3. Repair Microsoft Office Applications

  • Right-click on the Windows icon and choose Apps and Features.
  • User's image
  • Select Microsoft Office and click on the Modify button.
  • User's image
  • Choose Quick Repair and click on the Repair button.
  • User's image

In case the Outlook meeting responses are still not appearing for you, try the Online Repair option.

4. Update Outlook

Open Outlook.

Select File from the upper left corner and choose Office Account.

  • Expand Update Options and select Update Now.
  • User's image

5. Use Outlook Web Access

  • Open your web browser and go to Microsoft Office 365.
  • Sign in to your Microsoft account.
  • Click on the App launcher from the top left corner and choose Outlook.
  • User's image
  • Open the meeting invite that you want to respond to, and you’ll get the Yes, No & Maybe options.
  • User's image
