AADSTS5000225 – Tenant Blocked Due to Inactivity (Need to Reactivate Tenant)

Hello,

I’m unable to sign in to one of my Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) tenants. The error I’m receiving is:

Error code: AADSTS5000225

Error message: This tenant has been blocked due to inactivity. To learn more about tenant lifecycle policies, see https://aka.ms/tenantlifecycles

I believe this tenant became inactive because it wasn’t used for a while. Now I can no longer access it or sign in via the Entra Admin Center — it shows this AADSTS5000225 error every time.

Could someone from Microsoft please help me Reactivate or restore this tenant (if possible).

The error you received (AADSTS5000225) means your tenant has been marked as inactive. When a tenant is inactive for a long time, Microsoft applies a login block. If the block lasts more than 20 days, the tenant may be permanently deleted.

Tenant inaccessible due to inactivity

If the block has been in place for less than 20 days, we may be able to restore access by unblocking it. Please provide the following details via private message:

Tenant ID

Correlation ID from the login failure

Timestamp of the failure

Business impact and reason for restoring the tenant

Note: If this is a test or non-critical tenant, you can create a new one: Quickstart: Create a new tenant in Microsoft Entra ID
