Hi Cool Nub,

Thanks for reaching out. It sounds like you're encountering some frustrating OOBE errors during your Windows 10 setup. Let's walk through a few steps that have helped others in similar situations.

First, when you hit the OOBEKEYBOARD or OOBENETWORKLOSSSAVERVERSIONV2 error, press Shift + F10 to open Command Prompt. From there, you can activate the built-in Administrator account and create a new local user by running:

net user Administrator /active:yes

net user /add user1 password123

net localgroup administrators user1 /add

cd %windir%\system32\oobe

msoobe.exe

This should allow you to bypass the OOBE and log in with the new account after a restart.

Second, if you prefer automation, you can create a batch file (b.bat) with those commands, save it to your USB installer, and run it from Command Prompt during setup by typing d:\b.bat (adjust the drive letter as needed).

Third, if the issue is network-related, try running oobe\BypassNRO from Command Prompt. This command reboots the system and lets you proceed with a local account setup without requiring internet access. Alternatively, disconnect from the internet entirely during setup to force the local account option.

Last, if none of these work, your installation media might be corrupted. I recommend re-downloading the official Windows 10 ISO from Microsoft and recreating your USB using a tool.

If this helps, please mark the answer as accepted so others can find it too.

Best,
Carl

To skip the Out-Of-Box Experience (OOBE) on your upgraded Windows 10 system, you can use the Unattend settings to automate the process. However, since you are encountering errors during OOBE, it may be necessary to troubleshoot the errors first. Here are some steps you can take:

    1. Check Your Installation Media: Ensure that the USB installation media is not corrupted. You can try creating a new bootable USB with the Windows 10 ISO.
    2. Use Safe Mode: If you can access the advanced startup options, try booting into Safe Mode. This might allow you to bypass some of the OOBE screens.
    3. Use Command Prompt: If you can access the Command Prompt during the OOBE, you can try running the following command to skip OOBE:
      • OOBE /skip
This command may not work in all cases, but it’s worth trying.
    4. Reset Your PC: If the above methods do not work, consider resetting your PC. This will reinstall Windows 10 and may resolve the OOBE errors.
    5. Check Network Connection: Ensure that your network connection is stable. The errors you are encountering may be related to network issues.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to perform a clean installation of Windows 10, which can be done using the USB installation media.
