I have the same issue. Here is a screenshot of CoPilot telling me to click on the card but there is no card.

If I tell it there is no card, it does this:

But then doesn't ever do anything after. I've let it sit for over an hour with no changes.

Hi Marian Ware, I understand how frustrating it must be not to see the download card when you're expecting it to appear. You're trying to get something done, and missing that visual cue can really slow things down.

When Copilot says Please click or open the card above this message to download it directly to your device it’s referring to a download card that typically appears just above the chat message and includes the file name a download button like Download or a downward arrow icon and sometimes a file preview if you don’t see the card try scrolling up refreshing the page checking for pop up or download blockers or confirming whether you're using Copilot in Edge, Teams, or Outlook, as the card’s location may vary depending on the app and device you're using.

Can you describe what you were expecting to see when Copilot mentioned the download card and what actually appeared on your screen instead?

For example, the Windows version has the same problem. Copilot says it's prepared a file and needs to be downloaded by clicking on the card. But there's no card, just like in the screenshot in this thread.

I have the same issue, the space is just blank there is no card or button, yes I am on edge no there are no pop up blockers etc etc

I have the very same problem. GM - you can always highlight and copy to a new Word file, but of course it would be nice if Copilot could do what it is offering.

When it happens to me I just tell it to delete today stuff. After that's done I tell it again what i want and if works.

Frusting is not a strong enough term for this.

I'm not Marian, but what I was expecting to see was the beautifully designed presentation Co-Pilot advertised, neatly laid out with all of graphics, pictures, etc. All I got was the outline of a presentation created by Co-Pilot with my input to specific questions and suggestions. I found nothing resembling a finished presentation, which, again, Co-Pilot said it was creating. And, BTW, still no card showing despite numerous troubleshooting.

I have the same problem - i do not see a card to click on when I'm in Copilot App in Windows 11. With Copilot in MS Edge i do not even see the option to "Export to". It doesn't exist. How is this feature supposed to work please?

Sooo...WTF? Does this get addressed or just ignored? I tried Claude. BWoT. It had much the same download-workaround maze. When I finally did get the created spreadsheet, it had only 4 of the 7 tabs it claimed to make, and was full of errors. Not all that useful. So what's the deal - does AI work as advertised, yet? Or is it still a ways off? I can do all the stuff AI says it can do. The difference is it takes me a lot of time but it works. AI can make stuff you can't even begin to use very, very fast.

Since Copilot stopped giving a download link and requested to click on a card, I have not been able to download anything. I have allowed pop-ups and removed any security that could possibly interfere. However, there is NEVER a card to click. Why not just have the blue underlined link like before????

I now have a link, but is is not highlighted and doesn't work. I cannot download anything from CoPilot. It used to work fine, but MS changed something and now I cannot download anything at all. It is 3 months and nothing works. Please MS just do what you had before and a link that works!!!!!

I tried the same thing with Claude. It was a complete hassle to download. Same "click on what isn't there" deal. When I finally did get it to download, it was incomplete. It said it had 7 tabs, and only four showed up, and it was full of errors. Basically useless, not even a good place to start.
However, if the success of AI is in the "learning" it can do and continuous improvement, I'd like to get a bit of guidance and see how best to try it again. That it did anything at all was kind of impressive, just not good enough...yet.

Here is an easy way to get around this.

Go to https://copilot.microsoft.com/

Sign in (bottom left).

Your chats and history will be displayed. You will notice a lot more options on the left side.

Find your chat.

Scroll through it to find the card. Click start.

The system will start the task. Click Open.

The system will navigate you to see the task running (it will look like a very basic workflow).

The normal fast way we are accessing Copilot through a desktop icon or through the browser as a help action does not work. You need to go directly to Copilot through the browser using the https://copilot.microsoft.com to gain access to all of the additional options and to allow the user interface to render the task start buttons or downloaded files.
