I created a powerpoint with cameos on the slides, when I go to record to save the powerpoint as a video the red record button is grayed out but it lets me record a powerpoint with no cameos on the slide how do I troubleshoot?

powerpoint will not let me record a slide to save as a video, I spoke with a Microsoft support tech for one hour and he had no idea how to troubleshoot

    1. Which device you are using to record the slides (e.g., Windows PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone)? 
    2. Are you using a school-provided email (e.g., @schoolname.edu)? Or is it a personal email type (@hotmail, @gmail, @outlook.com).  

    This will help us better understand the context and provide more targeted support. Any additional information will help us better understand and support you.      

    Please note that presenting with Cameo is not available on iOS devices (iPhone or iPad). This feature is currently supported only in the PowerPoint desktop app for Windows and macOS and web app with a Microsoft 365 subscription.
