Using Classic Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
Hi Alexander Robb,
Thank you for posting on Microsoft Q&A forum.
If you go to File, and “Options” does not appear in the left-hand menu, here is what that usually means and how to fix it:
In Classic Outlook, you should normally see this path:
- File > Options
It is located at the bottom of the left-hand list after:
- Info
- Open & Export
- Save As (sometimes)
- Options
- Exit
But sometimes, the Options item is hidden at the bottom of the sidebar.
Try:
- Maximize the Outlook window.
- Scroll the sidebar if possible.
- Or press Alt + F + T — this keyboard shortcut opens Options directly.
- If that works, the menu item was just hidden visually.
If you are using Outlook on your personal computer:
- Close Outlook.
- Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features.
- Select Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365 Apps > Change > Quick Repair.
- Reopen Outlook and check if “Options” has appeared.
