    Hi,

I understand that your speaker is not working.

Does this happen after an update?
May I ask if your speaker is built-in or external?
If it is external, can you try to check if your speaker is working on another device? Also, if possible, try to plug in another external speaker and see if it is working on your PC.

If it is a built-in speaker or if your speaker is working properly on another device, please try the following methods. If the first method does not work, please proceed to the next method.

    1.) Shut down your computer

Press the SHIFT key + Shutdown or press the power button for 10 seconds until the PC turns off. Unplug the HDMI/Display cable and power adapter from the PC for 30 seconds, then plug them in again and turn it on.

    2.) Check for Windows updates.

    3.) Check speaker Output

    • Click the Speakers icon located on the taskbar.
    • Then, select the arrow positioned next to the volume slider. This will display a list of available audio devices connected to your system. When you hover over the arrow, the tooltip should read Select a sound output.
    • Ensure that your audio is on your monitor.

    4.) Run Audio Troubleshooter.

    • Select Start > Settings > System.
    • Scroll down and select Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooter
    • Go to the Audio section and click the Run button to start the audio troubleshooter.

5.) Please check the sound volume and volume mixer.

    6.) Update the driver

    • Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager
    • Expand the Sound, video, and game controllers
    • Right-click on your monitor audio driver, then select Update.
    • Click Search automatically for updated driver software, and follow the steps.
    • When it’s done, click Close.
    • If asked to restart, go to Start > Power > Restart.
    • After restarting, check if Bluetooth is working.

    7.) Uninstall the Driver.

    • Please follow the above step on solution 6 again.
    • Instead of updating, click uninstall
    • Select Start, then select Power > Shut down.
    • After your device shuts down, wait a few seconds, and then turn it back on. Windows will try to reinstall the driver.
    • If Windows doesn't reinstall the driver automatically, open Device Manager and select Action > Scan for hardware changes.

    8.) Restart Windows Audio Services.

    • Press Windows key+R to open Run, then type: services.msc. This will open the service app
    • Find the following Support services in the list: Windows Audio, Windows Audio Endpoint Builder, and Remote Procedure Call (RPC).
    • For each service, Right-click, then select Restart > Right-click it again, then select Properties > Click the General Tab, in the Startup Type option, choose Automatic in the drop-down list.
    • After all services are done, click Apply and OK.
    • Restart your computer.

If you require further assistance, please don't hesitate to let me know.

    Stay Safe!
