copilot says "Unfortunately, I cant make changes to your document directly" - the Coursera course I am in is all about how to do this - is there a way to enable?

This course - https://www.coursera.org/learn/excel-and-copilot-fundamentals/supplement/yOfbC/hands-on-activity-create-a-travel-budget - but copilot still says it does not have the ability to do this - has this changed and/or will it be available in the future?
