DCR Wizard shows my subscription but whilst the wizard shows my resource group in the drop down selection menu it does not find it when I hit Show selected button. I have made sure location and resource type are correct.

Please explain in details what you are trying to do exactly preferably with screenshot. The information provided it is not clear exactly what you try to do besides that you are working with DCR resource and you expect something to appear in some page but it does not appear.
