How to completely remove recommendations from windows 11 start screen

How do you completely remove the recommended section from the windows 11 start menu? There are three toggles to disable content, but disabling them still leaves literally useless text telling you to reenable them. I've seen this question repeatedly asked and removed by microsoft ever since this was implemented and I would appreciate any logic behind why this useless text is being forced to clutter the start menu.     Hi Colston, thanks for posting here in the Microsoft community, yes, disabling the three toggles under Settings > Personalization > Start only hides the actual content, but not the placeholder text. Unfortunately, Microsoft hasn't provided a native way to completely remove that section.

    You might try using third-party Start menu customizers like Start11 or Open-Shell to regain full control.

    To better understand, are you aiming to completely remove the section for aesthetic reasons, or is it causing performance or usability issues on your system?

    This is a crap of a feature. For me personally it doesn't make scene seeing the recommended. The biggest draw back is the unwanted space after disabling it. Many people don't even want this bar to be even displayed. Ok, for a NOOB this make sense, but for those who are using PC since 98, 2000, XP, Vista, etc..it makes no scene at all. So people like us e would resort to registry editing, using third [party tools to remove these junk of a feature.

    This is unacceptable that we have to rely on third party software for keeping our operating system usable!

    Please restore ASAP the way we had to remove the 'ALL' apps in the start menu (even just hidden on a second page as it was originally)

    1. Run gpedit.msc as an administrator.
    2. Go to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Start Menu and Taskbar.
    3. Open the setting "Remove Recommended section from Start Menu."
    4. Select "Enabled" and click OK.
    5. The change takes effect immediately, no reboot required.
