I am using onenote, and recently onenote for windows 10 support was ended on windows 11 and I have been forced to use the windows 11 version. This seems to have broken the "ctrl + space" shortcut that would clear formatting, and has changed it. How can I revert it to it's previous keybinds?

Hello, I'm Quinn and here to help!

Unfortunately, there’s no built-in way to revert to the old Windows 10 keybinds. In OneNote for Windows 11, the equivalent command is: Ctrl + Shift + N

However, you can remap the shortcut using Microsoft PowerToys, a free utility from Microsoft.

  1. Open Microsoft Store > Search for Microsoft Powertoys
  2. Inside the app, go to: Keyboard Manager
  3. Click "Open Settings" > Remap a Shortcut.
  4. In the Shortcut section (left), click the pencil icon and select the keys for the shortcut, which is Ctrl + Space. In the 'To' section, set the Action to 'Send Key/Shortcut' and, using the pencil icon, enter Ctrl + Shift + N. In the Target App field, type 'OneNote'.
  5. Click OK

This remaps the keys system-wide or app-specific if you limit it to OneNote.
