Sorry to hear that you have troubles with this, have you tried to log in with password instead? Could you share a screenshot of the error message, do you have any other account available?
I'm ggtting an error trying to login to windows 11.

I'm getting the message. "something happened and your pin isn't available message" When I try to go to system recovery and windows repair it doesn't fix it. What do I do to get back to the Hello pin entry?

2025-10-19T23:17:02.2466667+00:00 If you click on set up my Pin, it opens a microsoft box and after a few seconds says an error has occurred. Cancel or Retry. If you try to sign in with the email address and password, it says it is incorrect.

atleast for me: I can normally login with my password and user credentials, both on the login screen of Windows and online into the Microsoft account. I got no further accounts available in the device.
In my other comment I already explained, that after a Windows update and a Dell update the "Windows Hello" functionality has gone. In my case the PIN login, the fingerprint login.
I just tried to add another fingerprint. It asks me to verify by entering my PIN. I enter the PIN, and it obviously recognizes my PIN (no need to press Enter; it closses the PIN input mask after the last correct character), but afterwards nothing happens - a blank window "Windows Hello Setup".
I assume the Windows Hello was broken by update. I have no Administrator privileges.

2026-08-11T14:06:27.2333333+00:00 I solved this by "forgot pin?", entered a new pin (the old one was allowed, too). After that I was able to setup new fingerprints. The login then showed me the options of pin and fingerprint again.
It had something to do with BIOS update and emptying the Microsoft Hello container.

2025-10-23T09:08:21.6666667+00:00 I've got exactly the same notification and now can't login with the PIN anymore.
On monday I updated both Windows 11 (Windows Update) and my BIOS and other drivers (via Dell Command Update).
Further more the authentication/login via Finger Print option is missing since the update. So I assume something went wrong with the Windows Hello functionality. Please help.
