File Explorer not previewing pdf files since 25H2 update

Since installing the 25H2 update to Windows 11, the preview for pdf files is not working.

I just get the following message "The file you are attempting to preview could harm your computer. If you trust the file and the source you received it from, open it to view its contents"

I have tried everything to restore the preview without success.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Here is a simple solution that worked for me -

in the file explorer, just disable this check box as shown in the image, this simply worked for me

(This happened on windows 10 as well!)

I found this one with a Google search:  https://kb.foxit.com/s/articles/How-to-Solve-the-Issue-That-File-Explorer-Is-Unable-to-Preview-PDF-F....  It worked to allow me to preview files on my network drive, where I save everything.  In the section on making changes to Trusted Sites, I had to enter "file://[server name]" and "https://[server IP address]".  I also entered the server's IP address in the Local Intranet section.

I compressed (zipped) up all files & then unzip them by extracting the file. Then the files were all automatically unblocked

So after running a script and waiting hours to unblock all of my files, only the preview pane was showing but the thumbnails were still the pdf icon. I googled "adobe thumbnail pdf" and I learned this.

"For Windows Explorer, you can enable PDF thumbnail previews by going to the Preferences in Acrobat or Acrobat Reader and checking the box for "Enable PDF thumbnail preview in Windows Explorer"."

I thought it can't be that easy, can it? So into Adobe I went. Menu>Preferences>General>Basic Tools. Checked the box that said "Enable PDF thumbnail previews in Windows Explorer". Thumbnails show in File Explorer now.
