Trying to upgrade in place to keep the same instance. Multiple failures. Some of the errors seemed to point the Machine Learning (MLS) and Azure components that were trying to be upgraded. We removed all components and registry keys and tried again to no avail. Any thoughts on next steps?

The files of most interest are summary.txt and details.txt. No promise that we will able to figure out what the problem is, but feel free to upload the files here so that we can take a look.
