Hi @Braun, Josephine,
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum.
If you're trying to make SharePoint Events visible to anyone scanning a QR code (including visitors who aren't logged into your organization), here's how to proceed:
1. Check your site type and permissions
- Make sure you're using a Communication site (not a Team site connected to a Microsoft 365 group).
- Go to Settings at the top-right corner > Site Permissions > Advances permission settings (at the bottom) > Grant Permissions
- In the share dialog, enter “Everyone"
- Click Show Options > Read > Share.
To allow anonymous visitors (no sign-in required):
- Your SharePoint admin must enable external sharing at both the tenant and site level.
- If anonymous access is not allowed by your org’s policy, this won’t work.
At the tenant:
- Go to Microsoft 365 admin center > choose SharePoint in the left pane
- In the SharePoint admin center, choose Policies > Sharing > set sharing to Anyone.

At the site level:
- In the SharePoint admin center, choose Sites > Active sites > click on your site
- Under Settings tab, choose Anyone at External file sharing.

2. Share the Events Web Part on a public page
- Create a new page on your site (e.g., “Upcoming Events”).
- Add the Events web part and point it to your event calendar/list.
- Publish the page.
- Click Share and select “Anyone with the link can view” (if available).
- If this option is greyed out, your org does not allow anonymous access.
Now generate a QR code for that link. Anyone scanning it should see the events if anonymous sharing is enabled.
