We need HECVAC & VPAT forms from Visual Studio Code for College

Beginning this next academic year, all California Community Colleges, including Diablo Valley College, are required to submit a completed VPAT (Voluntary Product Accessibility Template) and a completed HECVAC (Higher Education Community Vendor Assessment Toolkit) for any instructional software used in the classroom. This is part of a new statewide IT compliance requirement.

Would it be possible for your company to fill out the HECVAC & VPAT forms?

To be clear, the software does not need to fully meet accessibility standards in order for us to use it, but a completed VPAT & HECVAC must be submitted. If the software does not meet the standards, we can apply for a waiver.  However, we cannot request a waiver unless these forms are on file.

We truly value your software as an industry-standard tool for our Digital Arts program and want to ensure our students have access to it. Please let us know if your team can complete these forms, or if there’s anything you need from us to support the process.
