Hello @Heiko Jahn, Vodafone !

To help troubleshoot this upgrade issue, could you please share a bit more detail about your setup? Specifically:

The current Windows Server edition and build number (winver or systeminfo).

The target edition and ISO you’re using (Datacenter → Datacenter, language/architecture match).

Any error code or message shown during the upgrade.

The setup logs from C:\$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources\Panther\setupact.log and setuperr.log.

Whether the server is running any roles/features (AD DS, Hyper-V, etc.) or third‑party drivers/security software.

These details are essential to pinpoint the cause. Common blockers are edition mismatch (Eval → Retail), language mismatch, insufficient system partition space, or unsupported roles. Once you can provide the logs or error code, it’ll be much easier to suggest the right fix. Thank you!
