Hi guys,

I know that the default Given Name and Surname properties lengths are be 64 characters or fewer. Is there a way to change it?

Thanks!

Hello @Machado, Eduardo,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A Forum.

In Microsoft Entra External ID, the default Given Name and Surname built-in user attributes have a maximum length of 64 characters. This is a fixed limit and cannot be changed.

If your app requires more information or longer values than the built-in attributes allow, you can create custom user attributes that support more characters than the built-in attributes.

you can create custom attributes by following this document: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/external-id/customers/how-to-define-custom-attributes#create-custom-user-attributes

If you need any additional information or have further questions, please let me know.

Hi @VEMULA SRISAI

I took a look at this docs, but I didn't find where to configure the length. Can you help me on that?

Thanks!
