How to fix GroupMe frequent crashes

Ever since updating my iPad to iOS 26, my GroupMe crashes every time I post a message. I have rebooted the iPad, updated the GroupMe app, deleted and reinstalled the GroupMe app and it still crashes. This only happens on my iPad Pro and not my iPhone. It there a fix?

    Hi Robert,

    It seems that GroupMe is currently experiencing compatibility problems with iOS 26, especially on iPad Pro devices. Since you've already tried rebooting, updating, and reinstalling the app, here are a couple of additional steps that might help:

    Disable Apple Intelligence features – If enabled, try turning off predictive text and other enhanced suggestions under Settings > Siri & Search or Keyboard Settings. These features have been linked to app instability in some cases.

    Use GroupMe Web – As a temporary workaround, you can use GroupMe Web in Safari. It’s more stable and should let you post messages without crashing.

    If none of this work, I recommend reporting the issue directly to GroupMe Chat support.
