Where did my Collections go

I'm reaching out regarding an issue with Microsoft Edge. I previously used Ctrl + Y to access my categorized Collections of saved web pages. These categories were important to my workflow and allowed me to organize and retrieve content efficiently.

Recently, this shortcut no longer opens Collections, and the Collections pane itself appears to be missing or reset. I've checked:

That the Collections button is enabled in Edge settings

Sync is turned on for Collections

My local profile folder (AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data) does not contain a Collections subfolder

Despite these checks, my previously saved categories are no longer accessible. I’d appreciate help restoring my Collections or understanding whether they’ve been lost due to an update or sync issue.

Log into you Microsoft Account and you'll find your Microsoft Edge Collections under "Bing Saves" This is where they put them all after the update that retired the Collections Feature for Microsoft Edge. I hope this helps.

Hi! Please try to use the current shortcut Ctrl + Shift + Y, if the collection button doesn't appear close to the address bar, please try to reset the app in Start menu>Settings>Apps>Installed Apps>Edge>3 dots>Modify>Repair

I had been using Ctrl+Shift+Y in a background program for another purpose which made it unable for me to use it in Edge. I changed the keystroke combination freeing up Ctrl+Shift+Y and now I can get my Collections. It still does not show up in the menu with other items though. It should be there.

Here are the quick steps to try, please kindly follow:

1 - Open Collections: Press Ctrl + Shift + Y or enable the button in Settings → Appearance → Customize toolbar → Collections button.

2 - Check your profile: Make sure you’re signed into the same profile you used before. Collections are profile-specific.

3 - Verify sync: Go to Settings → Profiles → Sync and click Re‑sync now. If that doesn’t help, choose Reset sync (this keeps your local data).

4 - Check for policies (if on a work device): In the address bar, type edge://policy. If you see EdgeCollectionsEnabled set to “0,” your organization has disabled Collections—please contact your IT team.

5 - Repair Edge (optional): Settings → Apps → Installed apps → Microsoft Edge → Modify → Repair.

Apparently the Collections feature has now been removed from Edge. 😟 No warning and no attempt to retain our shortcuts anywhere.

Hi all,

I honestly can’t believe they would do something like that. How could they overlook such an important option, especially since its main purpose is to collect important information?

Really disappointed in Microsoft!
