Power point 2024 doesn’t not have “Transform” under text effects tab to curve text. I just purchased Office 2024 from Amazon, downloaded and installed on my pc. There was no disclosure that this version of power point did not have all the features of the subscription version. I should be able to do everything I used to do in old versions of office.

I don't think this is a feature even if you do subscribe. I think this feature was removed entirely. They have removed hundreds of features of Office over the years. Sometimes the removed features remain for a while as a menu item you can only find with typing into the Alt-Q search or by VBA, but sometimes they are just simply gone. WoestArt text transform is among them

I can see that you are looking for the option to transform text in PowerPoint. You can achieve similar effect to transform by using the WordArt function.

First insert a text box
Highlight the text inside the text box
With the text still selected, go to the Shape Format tab click Text Effects → Transform
Choose from all the transforms option that you like
You can also resize the text box or drag the yellow handle (if available) to adjust the curvature.

If you add some text inside a text box, you should be able to click Shape Format > Text Effects > Transform and then choose the desired format. As far as I know, the presentation must be saved in the *.pptx format for transforms to be fully supported.

Thanks, my version of office 2024 does not have this feature. MS only has this feature in the subscription version not the desktop version.

Actually, the ‘Transform Text’ feature is often not available in Office 2024 (the perpetual, one-time purchase version), even though it’s present in Microsoft 365. Microsoft frequently reserves newer features for 365 subscribers.

Some features like this may have been removed entirely, even from subscription versions.

But don’t worry- you can still get similar effects using WordArt:

Insert a text box
Highlight the text
Go to Shape Format > Text Effects > Transform, then choose your style and adjust with the yellow handle

Also make sure you’re looking under Text Effects on the Shape Format tab—not Shape Effects on the Home tab.

If you want the exact original transform feature, you’d need to switch to Microsoft 365, which includes more features and regular updates.
