Other login issues when logged in to the Edge profile

Since a couple of days, it is not possible to login to https://dev.azure.com in Edge on Linux (in our case Ubuntu 22.04 LTS). PWA apps can also be affected.

Logins fails with error: "500 - Something went wrong!"

This only happens if you're logged in to your Edge profile. A workaround is to log out from Edge, but then Copilot stops working.

We've seen this error in Edge versions 139.0.3405.111 and 119

Hi! My name is Aj and Im an Independent Advisor here to help! The error "500 - Something went wrong" is a known issue when using Microsoft Edge on Linux with a signed in profile.

To fix it please make sure that your Edge is up to date. Use incognito or different browser. Also, clear the browser cache then restart Edge.

Thanks. We're already on the latest version 139.0.3405.119, and clearing the browser cache does not help solving the problem. Removing the Edge profile and create a new one does not help either.

Hi,

Thank you for your response. As for now the workaround from Microsoft is to use inprivate browsing or another browser until a fix is rolled out for this known issue.

You can also send feedback directly from Edge by pressing Alt+Shift+I so the report goes straight to the Edge team.

After updating microsoft-identity-broker to the latest version, the problem is resolved. It was a bit interesting, while I already had version 2.0.2 and it updated to version 2.0.2.
