19 September 2025: Window Hello facial recognition sign-in stopped working.

"Sorry something went wrong with initialization. Please sign in with PIN"

Previously, I say "Couldn't turn on camera. Please sign in with PIN" I made some changes. And the changes worked, but only once. Now it's back again with the above message.

I see on July 8, many other people had a similar problem, to which Microsoft said it was known problem and working on it.

I'm on a Surface Go 3, Windows 11, Release Preview. 1000.26100.234.0

How do I fix this?

    Hi,

If you are on Release Preview you should

    be up to build 26100.5061.

Are you not able to sign into your Surface

    at all?
