Where is the option to disable Copilot on Bing Search? (Desktop )

I recall some time ago the dropdown settings menu on Bing search on desktop had the ability to disable Copilot answers/suggestions. Where is that feature now? I don't want Copilot-summarized results.

I've tried looking through older threads, but they just reference the same nonexistent toggle options in the settings (i.e. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/2342461/how-can-i-disable-copilot-in-bing-search-engine)

    I had to completely change my search on my mobile browser because I was unable to block this low IQ unwanted feature. Is Microsoft trying to get people to not use their products?

    Hi Paul,

    That option mentioned in the threads you referenced is no longer available. It looks like it was removed as part of broader updates to how search integration works in Bing, possibly to align with Microsoft's evolving approach to web search.

    Unfortunately, there’s currently no way to remove it. I looked into disabling it myself but haven’t found any method that works. The change was made on Bing’s end, so there isn’t anything available on the user side to modify or turn it off.

    If you're open to trying a different search engine that doesn't include AI features, or at least gives you the option to turn them off, you might want to check out DuckDuckGo. In its settings, there's an “AI Features” tab where you can disable everything related to AI.

    If you stick with Bing, I highly recommend submitting feedback by clicking the option on the lower right end of Bing's page.

    I am just not finding it easy to disable "tools" that MSFT uses to stuff its view of the desktop down my throat. I don't want Microsoft Edge because it gobbles so much of the systems resources especially when I don't use it. I don't like Bing. I just want a simple browser when I need it, not when MSFT and others want me to use their tools.

    This was very annoying on Safari on IOS because of the limited screen space.

    The solution that worked for me is the “hide distracting item” feature on current safari browsers.

    select hide and then select the “ask a follow-up question” dialog and voila, no more annoying floating window.

    I’m not a hater of co-pilot in general, but that intrusive window was really annoying.

    Use DuckDuckGo and you have the option not using AI or turn it on to use. Your searches are all private, so you won't get all the pop-up ads. It also respects your privacy and anonymity. Search features include regular links, images, videos, news, sports, weather, stocks, quick facts, and much more. NLM
