Calendar Not Scrolling

Previous when I was clicked into my calendar I could scroll it with my mouse wheel. This no longer seems possible and I cannot find a setting to adjust it. Was this feature removed from the new Outlook?

Praying the legacy classic version will be available for a long time to come as it's almost impossible to effectively use the calendar without the mouse scrolling function. Infuriating in fact!

Your limitations, literally makes me want to switch software that is created with the customer in mind. Have to be able to scroll in the calendar!!!!!

I've switched to another calendar. It's clear that MS no longer cares about the needs of its customer base. Odd that paying customers don't matter now.

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience with the new Outlook. We’d like to provide some clarification regarding the change in calendar scrolling functionality:

In the classic Outlook desktop application (Win32 version), users were able to scroll through weeks and months in the calendar view using the mouse wheel. However, in the new Outlook for Windows—which is built on the same framework as Outlook on the Web—this feature is no longer available.

The new Outlook adopts a web-based architecture, which does not support continuous scrolling in the calendar’s month view. As a result, the mouse wheel no longer allows users to scroll through months or weeks as it did in the legacy version. This is not a removed feature per se, but rather a limitation of the current design that has not yet implemented the scrolling capability.

Here are some alternative ways to navigate your calendar in the new Outlook:

Use the on-screen arrow buttons at the top of the calendar to move month by month.
Use the mini calendar (date picker) in the sidebar to jump directly to a specific date or month.
Switch to Week or Day view to scroll vertically through hours and navigate across weeks or days.
Use keyboard shortcuts such as Alt + Left/Right Arrow to move between days/weeks, or Ctrl + G to open the “Go to Date” dialog (if supported).
Touchscreen or touchpad gestures may allow swiping between dates on supported devices, though this is limited in desktop environments.

This is not a "limitation" per se, as Mr. Ryan-N has written. This is a degradation of the software.

Also, Mr. Ryan-N missed one more option: to print out the calendar and look at the prints. This way there would be no problem of viewing multiple months and the outdated idea of using mouse wheel to scroll through months would totally disappear. Its a win-win situation where neither mouse wheel is needed nor outlook itself.

P.S. If I sound angrily, that is because - I am. The software should be improving the workflow not hindering it.

This is so far removed from being even minimally acceptable. How can a new Outlook even be released before you're able to implement such a basic, fundamental, universally required functionality? New Outlook now operates like a paper calendar, flipping between pages. I need to be able to see today and the next 3-4 weeks at any given time.

This is a removed feature. Outlook is worse than it has been in 20 years.

This is a poor design - not effective when past versions let us move through our calendar - you would think that Microsoft would fix this for clients that have moved up.

We all agree. But at the moment there is not much any of us can do about it except Vote for these existing Feature Request (just a sample) and hope that someone from Microsoft actually takes action on this. (You must "Sign In" at the top right of the Feedback page before you can vote).

Aside from not being agle to scroll through the calendar, you can't copy classic .pst files and past to new version. When going from classic to new, you loose ALL your calendar, and ALL for your contacts. You have to hand enter everything. My answer to this is to run both calendars, one that keeps my info in real time and the other to keep my electronic calendar up to date for the family. New Outlook is NOT an improvement like other programs that do up grades.

Years pass. Still no mouse scroll. Microsoft doesn't care about anything that isn't Copilot or Azure, essentially.

When will the "limitation of the current design that has not yet implemented the scrolling capability" implement scrolling capability?

My cost for using the software has increased AND one of the most necessary tools I use has literally been "removed" (regardless of how it is wordsmithed).

I'm not angry either. I am disappointed.

So I hate to mention this as it may get un-implemented, but I can still scroll through many screens of emails. Why don't you have the programming team that worked on the scrolling emails share their code to the calendar group.

It is really lame that this can't be done. My G**gle calendar scrolls, I presume it is also built on web-based architecture....
