After rolling back Microsoft 365 Insider to Version 2508 (Build 19107.20000) from (Build 19113.20000) to correct the "classic outlook will no longer open" issue, my build is stuck on (Build 19107.20000). It will not update to (Build 19119.20000).Yes, I did re-enable updates.

Hi Steve,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum. I understand how frustrating it can be when updates don’t apply as expected. Here are some steps for troubleshoot:

  1. Force Update via Command Line

You can manually trigger the update to Build 19119.20000 using the following steps:

  1. Close all Office applications.
  2. Open Command Prompt as Administrator.
  3. Run this command:
       "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\ClickToRun\OfficeC2RClient.exe" /update user updatetoversion=16.0.19119.20000

  4. Clear Update Cache (Optional)

If the update still doesn’t apply:

  • Press Window + R
  • Navigate to %localappdata%\Microsoft\Office\16.0\OfficeFileCache and delete the contents.
  • Then retry the update process.
  1. Reinstall Office

If none of the above steps work:

  • Uninstall Office completely.
  • Reinstall from your Microsoft 365 account.
  • Rejoin the Insider Beta Channel during setup.

If the issue persists, please let me know. I’ll be happy to guide you further or escalate the issue if needed.
