A pop up that I can't close titled 'Your Privacy Option' when opening an excel sheet in Sharepoint - so I can't access or edit this sheet as the pop up won't close

I have benn invited to edit a file (an excel spreadsheet) using Microsoft Sharepoint but as soon as I open this excel sheet, I get a greyed out pop up saying 'Your privacy option. your organisation's admin has given you access to several cloud-backed services.' it has some links to learn more, learn about privacy settings and Microsoft services agreements. however the whole page goes grey and I can neither click on these links or click on the 'close' option, and I therefore can not access the excel sheet I am supposed to be working on.

Very likely an error on their behalf. The overlay should not be there (the grey should be below the popup not over it). While on the page press F12, select web elements, then select the overlay and uncheck display block from the list. Then press on the Office for the web Privacy Settings and follow the steps. This solved it for me.
