Despite my Powerpoint document having auto save on, it didn’t save any of the notes and writing I had taken while in class. When I initially went to check the autosave had a time prior to my class starting, but I am unsure to why that is. I had internet connection the entire time as I was looking up additional information for lecture. I am wondering if there is anyway to recover it. I was on my Ipad

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Community. We're happy to support you with your concern.

Sorry to hear that you're experiencing the issue with losing notes on PowerPoint. We will guide you some ways to help recover your unsaved notes:

    • Check for Previous Versions in OneDrive: If your file was saved to OneDrive, you can try restoring a previous version by following the guideline in Restore a previous version of a file stored in OneDrive - Microsoft Support
    • Restore from PowerPoint Autosave: PowerPoint has an Auto Recover feature that periodically saves temporary versions. You can find them by open your PowerPoint and go to File > Open > Recover Unsaved Presentations

Please try these workarounds and share us the news via private message so we can take a closer look and assist you further.

Unfortunately I was not able to retrieve them. I had used my ipad to use the draw function to write my notes directly onto the PowerPoint slides. When I go to it the previous version is greyed out and I can’t access it. Despite the autosave function being on it never actually saved anything that I could find. Not sure if anything can be done on your end maybe?
