Decision makers and programmers at Microsoft do not read the Community forums.

That is a microsoft problem to manage, not for users to manage themselves.

I have gone via the feedback option, actually, and I have encouraged our users to use it and not hold back also - whilst sharing this thread with them so that they don't take their ire out on us in the IT department for Microsoft's appallingly badly planned comms. Noting that comms folk are not designers and programmers, so I hope they are not also empowered to ignore all this.

It is not unreasonable for a user base to assume that the community forum moderators and owners DO have a route to the designers and programmers and that they take the common sense approach of escalating when a thread of very unhappy customers emerges - whether the complaints are submitted via the 'feedback' route or not.

I appreciate you were just trying to ensure people do get heard and that the feedback route is the official way to do that. But fundamentally users should not have to navigate which route is preferred by Microsoft, Microsoft should be navigating the routes users are providing feedback through, or they should close/merge those routes if it too hard for the poor ickle giant hyperglobal megacorp to manage. Smallest violin in the WORLD - MS don't get to wreck the place then say 'hey we will ignore you unless you use this specific route'.

It's also important that users can see that other users feel as they do, or not, even if it descends into pages of acrimony. That's why it's called a community, and if MS can't handle that as a valuable route for how features are landing or not, then that is a microsoft issue, not a community one.

I am as frustrated as everyone else.

My temporary workaround has been to log in directly through http://onedrive.com instead of microsoft 365.

In this way you get the traditional homepage and the 9 dots button on the top left

Equally frustrated and annoyed with this update. Once in a while you may want to ask the end users if this is beneficial.

Oh no I agree with you. Completely. But we already had three pages of that. So I just gave the best solution i could find, the one I gave my users. In my experience, holding your breath until Microsoft listens is not healthy :-)

Ryan - thanks for the response but just pointing out that this reasoning doesn't really make much sense - as the same argument could be applied to OneDrive or Outlook pages. And it doesn't explain the decision to remove the app waffle from that page.

Oh well, we'll see if Microsoft listen to their customer feedback.
