new version of O365 home page?

Aha, I have found the MC Item relating - MC1060783.

This came through as a copilot wave 2 spring release - so we're all victims of Microsoft's insane decision to rebrand M365 as Copilot, immediately confusing every message that relates to 365 as being something relating only to the copilot product. So this went off to our dedicated copilot project team, who can't keep up with all the individual announcements as it is, and just hadn't got around to reviewing this one yet in order to then spot that no actually it's a massive change for all users.

Hope that helps some folk. I especially hope it helps the folks from MS marketing determine their a** from their elbow.

Some feedback has indicated that when accessing office.com (especially in public or crowded places) documents stored in the cloud could be publicly visible, potentially leading to unintended personal data exposure.

That's a bit ridiculous really. All that would be visible would potentially be filenames and thumbnail images. As opposed to to the person in said public environment opening the file in the Web app to provide a better view to all around.

Besides what sane person works on sensitive documents in public crowded places.

A logic fail by Microsoft.

This is ****. I want the portal to display the files I use frequently. I shouldn't have to search for them or go through One Drive, especially for files that are shared from someone else's One Drive. Bring back the quick access, please.

Why does MS insist on changing stuff that doesn't need to be changed? Quit jamming Copilot down our throats.

Agreed! This is a terrible update and really slowed down productivity in the office. Please give us an option to use the old Office Home page.

This is a terrible update, I can't even find some of my most frequently used apps, and is causing a slowdown in productivity. co-pilot is a useful tool but it is not the best "home page" experience - this is not how people work!
