General recommendations:
I just noticed that you are using Word for Android.
That is not a program suited to writing or editing a book!
Many Word features you need are not available and your formatting can get messed up on lengthy documents!
You really need the desktop application, either on a PC or a Mac.
To add to what Charles said, you should be saving a backup copy of the book on your local device. Don't depend solely on cloud storage.
