    Dear Ryan Groszmann

    Welcome to Microsoft Community,

We understand your urgency regarding the inaccessibleWord document and apologize for the disruption this hascaused. To resolve this efficiently, we need additionaldetails to pinpoint the issue. Please clarify the following:

    1. Document Visibility in OneDrive:
      • Can you see the file listed in your OneDrive folderbut receive an error when opening it?
      • Or is the file completely missing from OneDrive(even when searching via OneDrive Web)?
    2. Error Details:
      • If you see an error message (e.g., "You don’t havepermission" or "File not found"), please share ascreenshot.
      • Confirm if this occurs on all devices (desktop app, web, mobile).
    3. Immediate Troubleshooting Steps:
      • Check OneDrive Recycle Bin:
Log in to OneDrive Web > Left pane > Recycle Bin.Files remain here for 93 days.
      • Test Link Ownership:
If shared via link, ensure you’re signed in with theaccount that owns the file.

    Critical Note:

    • If the file was permanently deleted (e.g., emptied fromthe recycle bin), recovery is unlikely. However, if it’s apermission issue, we can restore access once we haveyour details.

    Sincerely,

Nam-D - MSFT | Microsoft Community Support Specialist.
