Minimum width of to-do window in "full view" is too wide

For some reason, when in "keep on top" mode, I am allowed to make the window very narrow (about 100px), but when in "full view" i.e. normal window I cannot reduce the width anything like as much, despite the fact that it does change its layout responsively to a single column layout before reaching its minimum width.

My intention is to use ToDo as a permanent side-bar on one of my screens so I can stay focused on my priorities, but in full view it occupies far more horizontal space than necessary.

Why not just use "keep on top" view and make it narrow? Well, for some unfathomable reason, the keep on top view doesn't allow you to have a vertical height more than approx 1/2 the screen height, so that wastes a large rectangle of screen space below it (see this bug report: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/microsoft-to-do-resize-the-window-in-keep-on-top/45444bda-bc80-4cad-8ceb-250e9de1e34f )
