I can't find Specific Version under Compare Docs

Hi, I am trying to compare two versions of a Word doc saved in Sharepoint on a Macbook (I have the latest software for Sonoma). I open the doc into Word (not browser) and go to Review - Compare and supposedly I have the choice of Specific Version, but there are only two functions listed and Compare Docs is greyed out. The only thing I can do is Combine Documents but it asks for the two docs, but I only have one as I'm trying to compare with version history, not two separate docs. I've tried Googling it but to no avail, or maybe its just not possible. I've read some people say they used to be able to do it but now they can't. So if I can't do it this way, is there another way to compare two different versions of one doc? Many thanks

Good day!

After doing the test from my end I was not able to reproduce this issue, I can see specific version from my end, may I know does this issue happen for a document or for all documents? Could you create a new Word document for test?

Also, may I know are you using the latest version for Word? Or what version you are using now?

Let me know you test result and if you have any additional information to descript this issue, please just feel free to let me know.
