In OneNote the Search bar has moved, How do I put it back to where it was?

Version 2504 Build 16.0.18730.20122 on Windows 11.

I have been using OneNote for years, all of a sudden when I opened it up today, the Search bar has moved from its correct place on top of the pages list on the side, to now being in the upper right corner of the actual notes main page.

When I type in a search, the list of pages where the search term shows up now covers up half of the notes field, meaning you can't read half of the page to see if the search result is actually what you are looking for or not, making the entire search function pretty much useless.

How can I move the search box, and more importantly, the list of pages that contain the search result, so that it no longer covers up the actual notes page that I need to read?

It looks like some of us (including myself) did that previously. I never received a response. :(

Me too - but it is a good reminder for everyone posting here. Probably helpful to place "feedback" as both a "problem" and a "suggestion."

I did that at the same time I posted about this issue originally.

I did this the moment I noticed the foolish box in the midst of my note page back in May... to date no response. Deep, deep sigh 😒

Hi, I didn't see MS chiming in to offer solutions after that first one didn't work so I found out that we can submit Feedback in OneNote - for me it is under the Help menu (at top of screen), there is a Feedback option/icon where I was able to click the "Report a problem" button ( found on the left side middle purple button), (or you could "Make a suggestion"). If many of us do this, perhaps they will fix it sooner rather than later. Fingers crossed!!! Screen shot of where I was able to submit feedback to MS:
