As someone who spent 22+ years in ITS support, I've found that writing to a company about any problem is usually a waste of time. I don't care what the question, they will never give you a straight answer (kinda like US politicians). I did one on one support where there was only a solution and no hyperbole. I did both hardware repair (easy - find what's broken and replace it), operating system support (not quite as easy, but definitely doable), and software support (hardest of all) where thee was no fixed set of programs being used. I didn't have a book. I didn't have a database where I could copy and poste, I had to know the answer or at the very least know where to find the answer.
Yes, I have also worked in IT/Tech Support for years. and this is one of those things that does not have an answer as, at least not as the application is right now. It is just broken and the only thing that will fix it is another app update (or roll back).
But it is not like Microsoft makes it easy to communicate directly from a customer/end user up to a software programmer, and the only channels for support seem to be this forum (which is no help) and submitting feedback from within the app itself, which has no way of knowing if anyone is even reading the feedback, or doing anything about it.
So pretty much the only options are to continue commenting on this post, and hope that someone (who can actually do something about it) pays attention to it if it is being commented on and stays in the active forum posts list for a long time. Or to keep submitting feedback in the app and hope that again, due to the high volume of feedback submissions, someone actually does something about it. Or to just sit here and wait and hope that they randomly change it again in a future update, but even if they do, there will probably never be any indication as to which method (if any) of feedback to Microsoft actually resulted in the requested fix being implemented. For all we know, Microsoft app programmers (or the boss that approves the changes) never get any of the feedback from either this forum, or from the in app submissions and we are all just wasting our time.
