My PPT I have been working on both on my laptop and my ipad recently will not show the slides/ changes I have made on the other device. For example, my laptop version has 39 slides and even the most recent version on my ipad only has 28. I tried restarting the app and restarting ipad with no luck.

Check OneDrive Sync: Ensure your file is saved in OneDrive and syncing correctly. Open it directly from OneDrive on your iPad.
Force Sync in OneDrive: Open the OneDrive app on your iPad, swipe down to refresh, and check if the latest version appears.
Manually Upload the Latest Version: If syncing fails, manually upload the latest version from your laptop to OneDrive and open it on your iPad.
