Reports sent in via Menu Bar > Help > Feedback > Report a Problem go directly to the Mac Excel team. Each and every report is read by a human and logged into a database.

The urgency for a fix depends on several factors.

    1. Quantity - the more reports, the higher up the bug fix ladder it goes
    2. Impact - If users explain how the problem affects their business and workflow and explain how critical it is the problem be resolved promptly, it can boost the problem's importance and Microsoft's efforts to quickly resolve the problem.

It's not likely that individual reports will be responded to directly by Microsoft. That will happen only if they can't reproduce the issue. In this case, it's pretty clear what the problem is.

I have done that (reported it) and I have Excel on both PC's and Macs. However it also impacts Bing and their system is reporting wrong values and graphs of stocks as well so the impact is large and affects every user of Bing and anyone that uses Excel to track their share portfolio. From businesses to individuals like myself.

I have never liked Microsoft's support model. It's disrespectful and sticks a finger up at their customers. We are holier than thou and we shall not let you contact us. You can't create an interactive support ticket like at many companies and they are not compelled to respond. I am no Microsoft fanboi who thinks "they can do no wrong".
