Hi Chris,
This is a user-to-user forum, not a user-to-Microsoft forum.
The way to tell Microsoft's Excel team that there is a problem they need to address is to use the Menu Bar and choose Help > Feedback > Report a Problem. Using this methods sends data about the state of Excel on your Mac., including country information.
There's certainly nothing wrong with sharing your experiences here, but no one in this forum can do anything about Microsoft support or can send the report to Microsoft from your Mac. That's something only you can do.
Ok, well I get your point but reporting the problem isn't exactly interactive help from Microsoft is it? They need to fix this like ASAP and you only get that assurance from speaking to someone,
Where's the "speak to someone" button lol - being sarcastic.
I'll show you something funny. AI trawls the internet, found this thread and copies what I said on this forum. So it's not intelligent at all - it just looks for a consensus view and parrots it. So not intelligence at all. I already knew this and I'm sure plenty of other people do as well - but there'd be a lot of ignorant people who think it really is intelligent.
At any rate, it says the way to report it is on a forum lol. It's actually correct because there's no way to report it via excel and know that something is going to be done about it IN A TIMELY FASHION...
Also although it's Excel's issue in the sense that the functionality is broken, it's actually due to a third party so they (Microsoft) do need to contact that third party.
I managed to talk to Refinitiv via their company LSEG. They said their values for Australian shares have updated to the 16th on May on their side however they acknowledge that Bing is reporting the wrong values and by extension MS Excel.
The problem is on Microsoft's side, but because Microsoft firewalls itself off from users it's very hard to report this to Microsoft which is incredibly frustrating. Someone who has a contact with Microsoft will need to tell the relevant party that their system is broken.
