Free Ltd Visio License or good Android PC Substitute?

Hi Visio users & fans!

I used to have access to Visio through my profession & found it extremely helpful both professionally & personally. I no longer have access & wonder if anyone has had success finding a legally free version or an android/pc compatible app that's free & can create new/edit existing visio files & is as user friendly as Visio? Yes, I've googled this, but haven't had success finding anything remotely close & user friendly for lay people. I'deven be more than happy to buy a license if MS offered a reasonable price for the very rare home user, but they've yet to ever offer that to my knowledge.

    Totally Free Visio Alternative (PC + Android Support)

    1. Draw.io (now called diagrams.net)

    Platforms: Web Online (available for all platforms browsers) | Desktop (Win/macOS/Linux) | Android/iOS App

    Compatibility: Perfect for importing/exporting .vsdx files (editing support ≈95%), supports .svg/.png and other formats.

    Advantages:

    Open source, can be used offline.

    The interface is relatively easy to use, drag-and-drop operation is highly similar to Visio.

    Built-in templates (flowcharts, architecture diagrams, UML, network topology, etc.).

    Automatically save to Google Drive/OneDrive/GitHub or locally.

    Cons: Complex graphics (e.g. custom molds) may need to be adjusted manually.

    Low Cost Genuine Visio Acquisition Program (not free but cost-effective)

    If deep compatibility is just needed, the following legal ways can significantly reduce the cost:

    Visio Web Edition (Via Microsoft 365)

    Purchase Microsoft 365 Home Edition (pay about ¥398/year with 6-person sharing) → Share about ¥66/year per person.

    Package Visio Web Edition (basic editing) + full Office + 1TB OneDrive.

    Fulfills 80% of daily drawing needs (except complex molds).
