The read-aloud voice used to be a very smooth speaking female voice and overnight it changed to a robotic voice. When I go into the settings it says I have to be signed in to change the voice. I am signed in. I tried signing out and resigning in deleting the app and reinstalling but it still says the same thing. I am using an Android with the mobile app. I was originally using just the word doc connected to my OneDrive I've even tried the Microsoft 365 app still same results. How do I get the old voice back?

I am having the same issue. Please advise. There was a popup when I clicked on the READ ALOUD tab that said I could change the voice settings by logging into my Microsoft account. To my knowledge I have always been signed in. How do I change it back?? This robotic man voice is driving me crazy!

I click on my avatar but it doesn't give me the option anywhere to Send Feedback, and report a problem.
I am having the same issue. My read aloud went from natural speech sounding to annoying robotic voice after the recent 365 update
I spent 1 1/2 hours on webchat with Microsoft today and all he managed to do was set my default voice on my Apple phone to a woman called Kate which then is the voice that comes out in the word App - but it is pretty useless as it does not read smoothly or with the correct intonation - unlike Susan (and there is Hazel) who is the default setting I had registered as my preference with Microsoft online. I can't find anyway to get the Word app to read with the Microsoft setting.
