In June 2024, my shared One Drive folders changed to Internet Shortcuts. Despite trying any suggestions we could find, and hearing nothing but canned responses from MicroSoft, we opted to spend a weekend changing to a new email address / MicroSoft / One Drive account after 6 months of frustration.
Today, that new account once again changed my One Drive folders to Internet shortcuts. Besides going through the entire new email address process again, have I missed any workarounds for this?

...no change here as well (since February). Our business folders are now in a mess and I keep stalling my workload, which is bad from my small buisness... I'm so so so angry... My business partner and I now looking for alternative options with other providers.

This just started to happen to me today, and to compound it all several hundred family photos and crucial documents from all over our shared network were moved to the recycle bin, its a mess!!!
Microsoft when are you going to fix this issue that randomly brings misery to many hundreds, just look at the number of people in many different threads who are experiencing this!!!!
March 2025 and this is still happening. How about Microsoft just focuses on NOT BREAKING THINGS THAT USED TO WORK PERFECTLY WELL, instead whatever it is that they're doing with our data, money, time, and effort?!
It's becoming really frustrating to just see features THAT USED TO WORK just stop working all of a sudden, because someone at Microsoft decided to "improve user experience" by making completely unnecessary changes to push adverts and data collection.
As soon as I'm able, I'm switching to Linux. I'm getting sick and tired of these tech giants taking our money, fees, time, data, anything and everything, and just RUINING things that used to work. And in the meantime - ABSOLUTELY NO ONE FROM MICROSOFT TO OFFER VIABLE, ACTIONABLE SUPPORT!
Makes me furious that you mess with people's time, money and work, all because you can't respect the consumers who gave you the leading position you currently hold.
